Große Bühne
SWINGIN' MEISSEN TOM GAEBEL
Tom Gaebel gilt seit jeher als Mann für die große Bühne, hat sich neben Sinatra auch vielen anderen Klassikern gewidmet, hat James Bond besungen und gleich zwei Weihnachtsalben aufgenommen – und nicht zuletzt hat er seine ganz eigenen Lieder geschrieben. Songs, die seine musikalische Leidenschaft für die Vergangenheit widerspiegeln, für eine Zeit als die Musik noch ebenso elegant war, wie die Musiker, die sie spielten: die Ära des »Great American Songbook«!
Das war die Hochphase der amerikanischen Unterhaltungsmusik von den 30er bis in die 50er Jahre als berühmte Songwriter, wie z.B. George Gershwin, Cole Porter oder Johnny Mercer, all die berühmten Klassiker schufen, mit denen Frank Sinatra und seine Vorgänger wie Bing Crosby zu Stars wurden. Lieder, die von Jazzgrößen wie Miles Davis und Charlie Parker adaptiert wurden, die von den größten Sängerinnen und Sängern von Ella Fitzgerald über Nat King Cole hin zu Tony Bennett immer wieder neu interpretiert wurden und werden.
Ob NIGHT AND DAY, SOMEWHERE OVER THE RAINBOW oder MY FUNNY VALENTINE – rund um die Lieblingssongs seiner Idole präsentiert Tom Gaebel jetzt sein ganz neues Projekt: Ungewohnt intim – begleitet nur von einem Trio mit Jerry Lu am Piano, Stefan Rey am Kontrabass und Niklas Walter am Schlagzeug – singt und swingt Tom Gaebel sich durch dieses große und großartige Repertoire, dass man gleich merkt: Hier geht ein Herzenswunsch in Erfüllung!
